A drawing is like a shell where a soul comes to reside.
It’s a simple parallel when thinking in regard to one’s existence- between the inner soul and given body mass.
Just like designs for animation from the inside out, as to a soul has found a shell and look to go about life in this given physical attribute.
First, the soul seeks to understand the physical structure it has inherited- from skeletal to feel of mass, to how flexible, endurance and type of strengths the shell capable of generating.
Then soul takes hold, becoming one with shell, consuming, transform, exerting and spending energy- going about life. (To me, this is root to visualizing movements in a very natural way.)
As for the invisible soul, its spirit indirectly reflects- becoming visible through mannerism, temperaments through texture of movement… (And here, root to characterization and personality.)
When gestures and movements are conscious or subconsciously driven by the soul, then life sense is being experienced.

Above, ‘me’ if I were a rhino and some study sketches. (This animation clip is from a film I intent to one day return to, like an old friend patiently waits…)
